I had an epiphany the other day, and it was that I could codify ideas about additional content for Arcane Journeys the fantasy adventure board game, and make a certain class of them into "scenarios", the idea being that they use existing parts, with small but far reaching rules modifications. Also, they can be combined, to create cool complex emergent scenarios. Another great feature is that they can be released for free!
So the other day we played two of them: The River, where you can't travel around like normal, but must roll to cross the river, and The Camp, in which all the Cities are destroyed, but a refugee camp that moves around is added.
It was really fun, and even though it took 3 hours, we wanted to play it again immediately, but since it was midnight already, we passed.
